　　喜欢小动物是儿童的天性,特别是假期里,弄个小猫、小狗养养,在家还是个伴儿呢。可是,专家郑重告诫――猫、狗可传播几十种危害人类健康的急性传染病和寄生虫病,而一些疾病对于女孩子更应当引起警惕。

　　首先是急性传染病的危害,比如狂犬病,95%的患者为犬咬伤致病,另5%为家猫咬伤致病。狂犬病的病死率几乎是100%。狗还可传播炭疽病、莱姆病、黑热病、钩端螺旋病,猫可传播猫癣、猫爪热等。

　　再有不可忽视的是寄生虫病的危害。猫、狗可传播大部分人体寄生虫病,如弓形虫、蓝氏贾弟鞭毛虫、肝吸虫、肺吸虫、旋毛虫、包虫病等,其中弓形虫病所带来的问题已引起了妇幼卫生部门的高度关注。

　　弓形虫病是一种人畜共患的寄生虫病,它可寄生在人体除红细胞外的所有细胞内,人体感染可分先天性和获得性两类。先天性感染系经母亲的胎盘传播,是导致婴儿畸形和弱智的一个重要原因。目前,育龄女性的弓形虫感染率约为20%,而50%的受感染孕妇能将此病传给胎儿。另外,在怀孕早期(1-27周)感染该病可导致流产、早产、死胎和严重的脑、眼疾患。而需要引起家长特别注意的是,所有这些,都有可能是患者未成年时豢养了猫、狗的缘故。后天性感染多呈隐性感染,在免疫功能低下时(如艾滋病),可引起中枢神经损害和全身播散致死性感染。

　　猫和狗的弓形虫感染率极高,据国外报道,猫为5-85%,狗为26.3-85%;国内猫为15.6-73%,狗为3.69-33%。国内城市居民的弓形虫抗体阳性率相当高,如北京为17.1-23.5%,天津为21.1-38.6%。猫粪的弓形虫卵囊有很强的传染性,当儿童与猫、狗逗着玩时,手、脸被猫、狗舔到,便可传染,而抱着猫、狗睡觉的儿童,更容易诱发生殖系统传染病。

　　妇产科专家呼吁:孕妇要远离猫、狗!现在这种忠告已经面向所有有女孩子的家庭:为了您孩子将来的幸福,不要养猫、狗,且不要与猫、狗密切接触。（侯起来）

Maybe you should post this on a Chinese forum not a Canadian one. Animals here are required to be vaccinated and physically checked by vets every year to insure they are healthy. A responsible owner should vaccinate their pets and check their health status by visiting the vets, this concept is clearly not known or accepted by most Chinese people living in China.

Promoting animal health and welfare should be the goal NOT isloating humans from animals. Based your "theory", millions of North Americans (including the US president who recently added another dog to his family) are at the risk of transmitting disease and the whole North America is having health issues because of the popularity of home raised pets.

I grew up here and ALL of my friends grew up with animals and are extremely close to their pets, some are pregnant and some had healthy babies despite being exposed to cats and dogs all their lives. They are all responsible owners who CARE about the well being of their pets and take very good care of them. Your post was a one sided view coming from a country whose attitudes and culture background is completely different from that of the North American and simply DOES NOT apply here in Canada (most Canadian pet owners ARE responsible enough to make sure their pets are healthy).

Perhaps you need to do more search on this topic and come up with some facts related to the Canadian view instead of spewing out this huge "warning" sign.

　　英美及捷克科学家研究发现，养猫会改变人的性格，因为猫体内一种名为弓浆虫的寄生虫会传染人类，更会入侵人的脑部，继而改变其性格。受感染的男士会慢慢变得邋遢、多疑及具侵略性，女性却反而变得爱玩、贪靓和滥交。

If you want to be convincing, provide a link by the original study group in England (was it done at Princeton?) or a study done by a creditable source ie. Health Canada, a recoganized university in North America. I did a search and found nothing to back up your study. The Chinese link you provided came up with nothing when searched in North America authority websites, isn't that funny?

This is a forum for pet lovers to discuss their pets well being, why you posted the above "article" is beyond me. I am telling you based on my life's experience living in North America and working at an Animal Hospital: the claim the "article" stated above is NOT validated, supported, proved or tested, and the research was not scientific enough to be considered for even to conduct a preliminary study.

I work in the public health industry and have friends who are MD (medical doctor), DVM (doctor of veterinary medicine), RN (registered nurse), RVT (registered veterinary technician), and upon my discussion with them about this matter their opinion was that in North America, if a pet had undergone vaccination and health exams, the suggestion of their harming human health is laughable.
