Is anyone using Primus VOIP phone?

Is anyone using Primus VOIP phone? Is quality good? Is it phone quality ok via Rogers high-speed internet? the price looks attractive. Thanks,

I have been using it for 5 months now, my comment: go and grab it, it is a good deal in terms of both quality and price. The only thing is that you'd better not up-load stuff during your phone talk. (Download is fine)

Yeah, there are some problems if you put the VOIP gateway behind the router. But you can override the problem by setting IP address of DMZ host to the VOIP gateway(I am doing this myself). You can also put the gateway before router and let the gateway connect to ISP. I have been using Primus VOIP for several weeks, it is definitely a good service. I have recommended to several of my friends. The only drawback is the tech support of Primus sucks. But if you can resovle most of the issues yourself, switching to Primus is definitely a good choice.

do you have a router? If you put the gateway in front of the router, there should be no problem. Gateway will prioritise the voice data itself. Or, new linksys router firmware has a new option which can prioritise certain physical connection as one of my colleague told me, you can also try it.

make several tests, each test should create a call ticket to primus. Quote the ticket number when calling primus tech support for help, they should be able to see what is wrong with your connection.

I have not yet had the chances to use 911. It is all claimed by Primus and one of my coworkers. His wife called 911 once and it worked.
