You can go to any animal hospital to check out what medicine is appropriate. Also you don't want to buy something wrong and eventually make it worse... so ask a vet before you get anything for your friend. Usually animal medicine is only available at an animal hospital.

这只猫就叫大脸猫，很可爱。 我听说如果给猫吃盐，他就会的皮肤病，另外不能洗澡，猫非常干净，自己回添干净自己的毛，你只要经常用刷子刷刷毛就行了。

猫的确不能吃盐, 不过可以洗澡, 但是不能太勤, 否则是容易得皮肤病的~

You should ask your friend what exactly the term is in Chinese. We're not vets and we can't determine what it is by just looking at the picture. Maybe you should also get more information from your friend so at least you can describe the symptoms to the vet.

In fact, I don't recommend looking for medicine like that. If wrong medicine is used, the consequence could be fatal.

Has the cat been dewormed yet? Ringworm is a common problem for cats (although it doesn't look like one from the picture), get a fungal culture done first. To really diagnose the skin problem, your friend really should bring the cat to see a vet.

It sounds like a virus, or an infection, not just a simple dry skin problem. It's possible that the cat has thyroid problem, in which case a full CBC needs to be done to check the thyroid level (blood work). Unfortunately to treat thyroid you need a prescription from the vets, it cannot be sold over the counter in Canada. Ask your friend to take the cat to a vet in China.

However, if it's just dry skin (skin flakes on fur), you can purchase Oatmeal shampoo by VET, it can be bought at any animal clinic.

Thanks! The Scotishfolds almost look like the Exotic breed, but they're adorable and rare in Ontario.

From the picture I couldn't really see what's underneath the fur, but Fungal culture to rule out ringworm (also called dermatophytosis can be given. Parasitic skin disease is quite popular in China and often under diagnosed. If it is ringworm, it is highly contagious and the cat needs to be treated with meds and vaccines (normally Itraconazole or Ringworm Vaccine), and all contacted objects need to be removed from the household. My other guess is flea allergy dermatitis, but again, it's hard to say without doing a culture on the skin.

Good luck to your friend, please tell him that it is more complicated than just getting meds in Canada, and it does require a culture or blood work.
