由于第一次买house, 没经验,入冬之前没关basement 的水管,今春浇草地时才发现水管冻裂了。请问那位朋友有修水管的信息。谢谢。

if it is a new house, it should be covered under waranty...my basement pipe had leaking after the winter...it was fixed by the builder..
 
Thank you for your reply. Because it is one year and two month old house, the builder told me it is not under one year warranty any more. Any ideal? thanks again.

pluming and electircty should be under warranty for two years, check again with your builder...

Besides, did they tell you to shut the valve during the winter when you did your PDI?..if not, or if you couldnot recall, it is still their problem...

Article Number: 6.3
Condition: PIPES ARE LEAKING
Acceptable Performance/Condition: Domestic water supply and drainpipes shall not leak.
Warranty: Two-Year ? Delivery and Distribution Systems • Damage resulting from improper maintenance or additions, deletions or alterations made by the homeowner is excluded from the statutory warranty. • Secondary damage caused by defects, such as property damage or personal injury, is excluded from the statutory warranty.
Action: Pipes not meeting the acceptable performance shall be repaired.
Remarks: Condensation on piping should not be mistaken for a leaking pipe. Condensation on cold-water supply pipes is not covered by the statutory warranty. High indoor humidity is the main cause of condensation on pipes. If a leak is detected in a water supply pipe, the main water supply valve should be turned off immediately until the builder’s representative can assess the condition. For more information on emergency situations, please refer to the Homeowner Information Package.

....the builder may argue with you about "Damage resulting from improper maintenance" - they didnot tell you what to do, did they?
 
Thank you very much. A service manager from Builder will come my home tomorrow to have a look. He may argue with me about "Damage resulting from improper maintenance". But nobody told me at that time. I will try my best I can. If it is not successful, I will try to find a person to fix it. Thank you again for giving me so much information.
