Hi,
I had the same doubts like you before, but it is a normal practice.
My and my coworkers experiences: 1st time we see OBGYN was around 15-20th week, then 2nd time was at 28th week, after the 28th week, they see me every 2 weeks until I reach 34th week, then the visit will become weekly basis.

Maybe this is only in Canada. When we were in the US, we had OB doctor from since around 5~6 weeks and monthly visits after, and bi-weekly visits and finally weekly visits... if OB doctors see their patients at such a late stage (in comparison with the practce in the US), do moms here take their pre-natal vitamins?

加拿大OBGYN 较少,约不到的也只好等了.
