Thanks for the invitation. I'd like to join on Thurs, but cann't. Have a softball game to play, and followed by driving range practice with some friends. Suppose to play badminton in the night, have to check with my agent flower-in-the-rain (like a candle in the wind) to see if it is still in the plan.

The only equipment to have would be the glove. I have some balls to practise with. And the bat will be ready when you feel comfortable to try batting skill.

不会那么狂热吧，先借手套试试再说，万一你不喜欢呢。那可是对人要求更高的活动，人少了只能练练投球和接球

Yes, just like GreenGable said. You can also purchase it from Canadian Tire. Do not be surprised to find out the brand new ones are not as form fitting as you expect. It takes time to pass the "break in" period. (seems to have similarity as marriage)
