[问题] 草坪除虫

刚收到GreenSpace Lawn Care's call, 说是今年因为高温会有严重的虫害，他们有一种防虫剂，就象宠物的flea collar 的成分一样，可以防止Grubs吃草根，有人上门来喷洒，保一年。
报价大概是：$97 for 2000-3000平房尺的草坪。

请问有没有必要做这个，大家是怎么防虫的？

I was offered something like $135 for 4 times lawn care including hand digging weed up to 35 weeds.

Just so you know, flea collars are no longer being used on pets due to the health risks. I use a prescription topical on my Diego. Also you don't have to use pesticide to prevent grubs, nematode is a parasite of white grubs, you can purchase it from local nurseries. The city's website has many info regarding weed control.

Another thought is: you could probably get your entire lawn re-sodded for less than $97 bucks.
