not as stunning as GangW's for sure. but, hopefully, they don't bring down the standard of this board. I post them here for comments.

BTW, all these birds are original. no spot editing, just curve, corp and Hue/Satu. I did not apply any USM. I was quite pleased by the sharpness of my originals.

All photos taken with my 70-200 F4L with Small/Fine Jpeg. (My new 1GB CF card has been sent back to manufacture for repair, I am using my 128MB CF from my S400. :( )

#2 well, I have to admit that I did apply a little motion blur on this one's background.

#3 is an excellent shot.
#5, what if the moon is bigger, sharper, and the plane is just passing the moon?

#3 I only wish it could be sharper. It was a hard shot. being in a bush/woods for long time, bitten by numerous mosquitos. time was, well you can see it was during the last second of sunset. I have opened all aperture avaliable by my lens. At that time, I wished I had a 70-200 2.8L IS instead. :D but, yeah, what the hell. I can not afford that one, both the money and the weight...

#5 hmmm, that would be interesting. I will try again, when there is another chance.

the moon one reminds of of ET

Good effort. Birds in flight are a real challenge especially gulls. What I can suggest is to underexpose a bit when shooting gulls at sunlight to avoid blownout highlight.

Thanks Fad! right to the point, you must have tried before. :)

In my very first attempt, a test shot, I pointed to the sky and adjusted the aperture and shutter speed accordingly. In my second shot to a gull, I discovered that the reflection from the snow white sea gull tends to get overexposed. I stopped down up to 1.5 to prevent over-exposure. none of the originals have overexposed. the overexposed area in these photos here is caused in PS when I increased the contrast. I will be more careful when edit.
