depends wut classes you taking first year.
Fall:
BIO1120 Introduction to Organismal Biology 4
CHM1310 Principles of Chemistry 4
MAT1320 Calculus I 3
PHY1201 Physics Laboratory 3
(This course runs from September to April)
PHY1301 Principles of Physics I 3
Winter:
BIO1110 Introduction to Cell Biology 4
CHM1320 Organic Chemistry I 4
MAT1323 Calculus and Matrix Algebra 3
PHY1302 Principles of Physics II 3
Fall, Winter or Summer, referably during the first year:
ENG1100 Workshop in Essay Writing
Above is your list of classes in first year.
Usually you can get your text books in Agora book store, or university book store, compare prices, agora book store sometimes can save you 10-20 bucks.
Many people are selling their old text books too. If you go to Marion Hall, there will be fliers all over in the basement, and make sure check the name and edition of the book, cuz sometimes there will be new edition for the book, and people didn't mark it.
Book list will be available in either book store in augest. I just checked the website and they don't have any yet. Usually the text books will only be ordered after the professor decides wut book they want to use. So you might have to wait a bit.
I'm not sure if you can buy it in China, but if you dont mind used text book, it can save you a lot of money.

There usually lots of used text book for first year, so wait a bit, and you will save tons.
