What type of condo you are buying? Apartment condo or townhouse condo? For apartment condo I don't think you need a home inspector, just make sure all the water piles, drains, electric wires, and windows are in good shape.
If you are buying a town home, you may need one. Is this your first home? First time home buyer is better to have someone to check the house for you. When you hire a home inspector, make sure hire a competent guy.
The SPIS form is for the own owner to disclose all th e known problems (existing condition) about house. Make sure you understand all of the things written on the SPIP form. If there are problems that are not written on the SPIP form after you brought the house, the previous owner who sold you the house may held liable.
