Ottawa's SiGe Semiconductor announced a deal Monday with Chinese wireless communications firm AvantWave Ltd.
The company will use SiGe's RangeCharger PA2423L power amplifier in a Bluetooth transceiver product.
Bluetooth is a wireless standard that allows short range communication between mobile phones, PDAs and other computer accessories.
SiGe spokeswoman Tiana Dixon said the deal is worth $175,000 to the company in the first year.
