对渥太华河的污染问题,兄等对此有何高见?[问题]

初至渥太华河钩鱼时,眼见江水悠悠,花红草绿,只觉一派桃园之象.不意某日一老外路过,很认真地问我会不会吃钓到的鱼,我犹豫之下,只答了一句"I think I will".她的反应则是"You better not. It will make you sick".我自然很是吃惊.之后类似事情又发生过几次,问者多半是老外.
根据打听到的答案:渥太华河污染严重.但具体细节,却很少有人细讲.我所打听得的原因大致两个:
一,附近有一个造币厂,会排放重金属污染河水.
二,上一个世纪初,为了运输木材的便利,人们曾经人为地向沿河两岸喷洒水银,以阻止河岸上的草木生长.因而河水中仍有较高的汞含量.
在我看来,由这两个因素导出"污染严重",似乎都勉强了一点(也许生活经历决定了我对污染的承受力较高).
但心中的一点不安倒是真的存在了.不知各位仁兄对此问题有无别的消息?或知道别的说法?如谁知道一些权威的研究结果,那就更好了.
但我首先申明,绝无破坏各位垂钓江边之意.我自己仍然经常至河边钓鱼,自然也会享用收成之物.

I will check Ottawa river pollution soon. However I measured the uranium concentration in St Laurence river at Morrisburg, which is 0.86 ppb (ug/L).

底特律的治安之恶劣毋庸多说,每个月失踪几十人,这些人很多是黑帮火并被干掉的.一般来说黑帮处理尸体的方式简单粗暴如国内的城管,拴上一块大石头然后扑通一声丢到河里. 于是乎,他嘿嘿阴笑道: 你知道为什么河里的鱼这么肥了吧.

从此,我看见肥鱼就产生了心理阴影. 5555 该死的鬼子.

Looks like I can get some answers for my question.
If you don't mind, could I ask what 0.86 ppb (ug/L) refers to? It's within the acceptable level, or below, or above it? Sorry I am not that science as you.

渥太华的自来水就是来源于渥太华河。
单市区就两个水厂，若是污染了，瓶装水的生意肯定好得不得了，可惜，至今这个好生意却一直不景气。

Although 0.86 ppb is below the limit of 10 ppb, concentrations of heavy metals in fish can be expected 100 time higher than those in river due to the biological accumulation mechanism. At this point, oysters and bivalves are worse than fish.In addition, heavy metals are hard to be digested and excreted out of human body. However, I don't think there are problems if you have fish as food once a week or less.

另外从中也悟出一个道理,纵是好东西,千万也别贪吃过头.好象还看过一篇关于多伦多地区的报道,许多经常垂钓者血液中汞含量偏高,是不是也与woodyllaa讲的原理有关呢?

安省每年都会对河里的鱼做检测，并给出一个如何吃， 吃多少钓到的鱼合适的指引， 每种鱼类各种ＳＩＺＥ都有不同的值可以参考， 对于每条河的不同河段都给出了建议值。 网站如下：
