我本来打算在Bank和Walkley交界处买一townhome,但发现大家对那个区不是太看好,因为隔壁就是一区政府廉价屋.不过好处是离downtown近,坐公车只要二十分钟(我老公在downtown上班).现在我在Barrhaven看到另一处single family house.现在我列出这两处房子的比较,请大家出出主意,看究竟是选哪一个?郁闷中.....

House A House B

新房.都是明年春天交房.
 
Go with single home whatever is possible. I know few people who bought townhome.They are looking forward to buy a single home. Most complain is noisy neighbor. And usually price of single home will raise more than townhome.
If you order minto home, do not add any upgrades. My dentist bought a minto home with many upgrades last year, he said the jobs were poor.
New home has it own problem. Most new home has something need to be fixed in its first year or two. You have to ask builder to fix them, for some builder the service is not all good. The street still in developing you may not like it after few year. A few year old home has less trouble than new one, they already be fixed.What your see is what you get.You can move in 2 month.

谢谢你的回答.你说不要任何的upgrade,就是连一楼的地毯到木地板以及厨房和卫生间的地砖都不要他们升级吗?如果这些自己将来请人来做的话,费用大概要多少呢?

如果这些自己将来请人来做的话。 你会省不少费用。
找个装木地板和地砖的,给你估个价。
 
Bigger window or brick outside; better let builder to do it. It will be expensive to change the structure afterwards. For hardwood floor and ceramic tile, you can go to Homedept ask the price.They can be DIY job.
 
By the way it is better not to finish a new house basement. It takes fundation few years to set. In ottawa most basement will develop some small crack. You can't see them if you finish the basement.
 
当然这也要看你的安排和预算了, 如果你打算将来出租一部分, WALKLEY那儿的有绝对的优势.
 
I just came back from a open house for a end unit townhome in kanata lake. 214000 very nice 8 years old.deep yard, great garden, private deck and bright living room. A good buy if you are look for town home.MLS 606620
