If you pass by united state , or even canada
my suggestion is not to put too many expensive
or pretty stuff in your luggage ...

What happen is, they wont let u lock your luggages anymore because they have to check your stuff
They will open your luggage in a room and take some stuff
You cant fight for it because the reason is "They were suspecting drugs in the particular item so they have to take it"

My mom has a friend who came back thru united state in vietnamese
and she lost a lot of things ....
One of the few things she lost was one of those wooden dolls ..3 of them...
So everyone becareful, if something is very valuable to you, carry it
or else it might get taken by the securities who check ur luggage

我回来的时候路过纽约机检也是这么说的~不过我的东西没被动过~(他们没说不让锁~只说锁了他们会撬开而已~:lol: )
看见有些老外在北京就被开箱了~~呵呵~~
