I heard that doing home business can reduce income tax. But I am not familar with it. Who knows it in more detail?

Basicly, you can deduct part of your income as business expenses. That will lower your taxable income or even bring it to a lower tax bracket. Eligible expenses could be portion of your rent or utilities, telephone bill if you run your business at home. Consult T4002, RC4070 at CCRA website or professional accountant if you like to find more details.

You have to make sure:

1) Are your activities qualified as home business?
2) Are your expense items qualified as business expenses?

Tax system is so complicated in Canada that you have to either study tax policies yourself for at least 6 months or hire an accountant to file your income tax if business activities involved.

I spent more than 6 months to learn how to do my tax as an active trader, no accountant in Canada will and can do that.

Invest in GIC, securities and purchase RRSP can also deduct your taxable income.

吃饭比较麻烦,要适可而止,don't push to the limit.
