Recalled: Wooden cribs from Pottery Barn Kids

Thursday, Sept. 8 (BabyCenter News) ― Pottery Barn Kids is recalling about 7,600 of its Spindle Cribs in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The wooden spindles attached to the crib's front rail can loosen and detach from the rail. This can allow a child to fall from the crib or get trapped in the spindles. Pottery Barn Kids has received six reports of incidents involving spindles detaching from the crib.

The recall involves the Spindle Crib, model number 4825402. The cribs are made of hardwood and come in white, pink, and blue. Assembled cribs are about 30.5 inches long, 54.5 inches wide, and 45 inches high. The product name and model number are printed on a label on the base of the crib.

Pottery Barn Kids retail stores and catalogs, and PotteryBarnKids.com sold the recalled cribs nationwide from January 2004 through July 2005 for between $300 and $500. They were made in Taiwan.
