I don't think it is fair to mention the guy's name in public, it's only my own experience.
I didnot know Mr Song when I was looking for inspector, the reason I recommend him to you,
1. Communication
Communication with the inspector is very importmant. You may have some concerns for your house, but how to address them according to the build code and put them on the paper are tricky. There are some jargons when you try to describe the issues in detail...
2. Background
Not all the inspectors's backgrounds are as strong as Mr Song's (major in civil engineering). For example, my inspector's original background was bio-science and he once was a tutor in Civilization Museum. Sure, inspecting the house is not rocket science, college trainning may be good enough, but if the guy has a related backgroud, is it a big bonus?
