About the position

This person needs to really understand database and SQL concepts because there is no application development for this position. This person will be troubleshooting SQL data and we want to hire someone who loves to look through data and find problems both existing as well as potential. You'll dig through the entire chain of our systems from our source OLTP systems through to our data warehouse.
We need this person to truly understand a) data warehouse concepts b) Microsoft Analysis Services c) OLAP and d) SQL databases. You'll be writing SQL queries and scripts as well as using MDX and/or Excel Pivot Table Services. While you need to understand code and be an expert in SQL you will not be writing application code.
