WebSphere Administrator - primary responsibilities will include working with application developers to troubleshoot issues on pre-production and production systems, research/test/install cumulative fix packs and patches to WebSphere, and research/manage/resolve trouble tickets with the vendor.
1. Strong Websphere v5 technical support experience
2. Strong Java technical support experience
3. Strong Java Architect technical support experience
4. Strong Unix technical support experience
5. Windows 2000 experience
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills
7. Ability to work in a team (coordinate, collaborate, seasoned judgment)
The computing environment is Java, WebSphere, HP-Unix, Windows, Oracle, DB2, MQ, etc. Java skills will be just as important as WebSphere.
You will be working with experienced Java developers and WebSphere administrators. Therefore, at least several strong years of experience is required. Since you will be working with a variety of people from several different organizations, excellent written and oral communication skills are required. The ability to work in a team (coordinate, collaborate, seasoned judgment) is also a requirement.
This is a large computing environment with over 130 applications and shared components in production. This assignment will be challenging and rewarding.
This is a support position that requires a development background.
