my opinion for #2: model's face has been washed out a little bit. You can try this when fill-flash:
- camera in aperture-priority.
- set slow sync flash
- put flash in standard TTL mode
- set Flash Exposure Compensation to -1EV for people, -1.7EV for object as start
- try a couple of shots, select the one you'd prefer.

well,yeah...
the original is not that over exposed,thats the PS,lol
but what is slow sync flash,I dont really know how to use flash that much
