I recently found an easy way to save insurance cost of rental car.
If you owned a low-value car, and you have the need to rent a car in North America. You may ask for OPCF 27 coverage with low added primium. Mostly it will only add C$8-15 per year, even C$0 if you have relative new car. It is very convenient that you can transfer all your own car coverage to rental car, but only CWD which may GOLD CC provides.
The maximum car coverage of this is usually C$30,000.
