high back or walk-out basement

Which one is better? high back or walk out basement. I'm struggling with the options. Since for walk-out basement, you can't step out from the kitchen unless you build a stairs or deck. How much does it cost? can i build ourselves?

I don't understand. If your lot is on a slope,you need a stair anyway. And what is high back?

只有下面的一个门也够了－－我有个walk out basement，没有在一楼阳台上加楼梯。儿子从后院回来，常常是满身满腿的泥，在basement把这小兔崽子收拾干净再拿上来，还省得把厨房给我弄脏

好像是个习惯问题。邻居也有自己在阳台上加楼梯的，我觉得挺难看。

不过walk out basement要多花不少钱，现在想想，我这钱花得不见得合算。又没打算出租地下室，花那么多钱买个门干吗？也许卖房的时候，凭这个walk out basement能多卖几个子儿？

I'm not planning to rent out the basement. Walk-out basement feels like there are three stories. It is more bright. However, it seems inconvenient if I want to go out to the backyard from kitchen, especially in summer

如果做这样的deck好昂贵的，人工比材料贵很多，单单人工就要四，五千。除非弄平台就便宜多了。

I think high back means: 这家房子的后院比屁股后面那家的后院要低，站在这家后院就像掉在坑里。I saw this kind of house in Upper Hunt Club.
