Citizenship Hearing

Hello, Everyone,

I applied citizenship last year, but knew that I need to attend a hearing about residence after calling 1-888** phone. Does anybody know why I was selected for it( it means longer waiting), or anyone has similar experience?

"to attend a hearing about residence". Were you entitled to apply at the time, ie did you stay in Canada for more than 3 years over a five year period? In other words, were you honest about your residence?

is it possible to fail the test? it's almost as easy as nothing.

这个不是什么大不了的事。我有个朋友以前在渥太华工作时经常出差去美国，按道理，在申请公民时，
历次出境的情况都要简要说明，这位老兄嫌麻烦，填得马马虎虎，可能在计算累计居留时间出了点儿
问题，移民局让他出席一个Hearing，这位老兄那时已经回国工作，他也不是很在意这个公民申请，所以
压根儿没理。过了大半年，移民局又给他发了封信，要求他出席一个Hearing，并声明这是最后一次机会，
他正巧有事儿返加，于是出席了Hearing，就是和移民官当面聊聊，回答一些问题，然后就过了。

Thanks for all the reply. But I have waited for 16month, no exam yet. I have absolute enough days in Canada. Just wonder why they asked me Hearing before Exam.
