A.looking for an assertive individual who will develop and execute technical and business strategies for our AC-DC power conversion IC product line. This is a senior marketing position which will require up to 25% travel (U.S. and international).
Responsibilities for this position include:
• Champion the growth and expansion of our high voltage AC-DC power conversion ICs.
• Providing direction and support to the sales force on new and current AC-DC products (including marketing communications, product training presentations, price list generation, and special pricing).
• Monitoring and driving key customer opportunities to ensure success.
• Interfacing with the Applications and Marcom groups to develop design collateral and promotional platforms.
• Understanding competitive product/technology threats to form defensive product strategies.
• Understanding customer/market requirements and opportunities for new products/packages through customer visits and providing information to the Strategic Marketing group.
• Interfacing with the Applications and Marcom groups to develop design collateral and promotional platforms.
Requirements
BSEE or similar technical degree. Minimum of five years of experience in technical marketing or applications in AC-DC or DC-DC power conversion semiconductors or the design of AC-DC or DC-DC switching power supplies. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including customer presentations. Familiarity with Asian power conversion customers is a plus.
B.The Director of Applications Engineering is responsible for the management and technical direction of the two functional groups that make up the Applications Engineering department:
(1) New Product Applications: the responsibilities of this group include the evaluation and characterization of new power IC products, development of product launch collateral, including hardware, documentation, printed articles and papers, training material for both field and customers and the definition and development of our world class software tools for power supply design (PIExpert).
(2) Customer Applications: the responsibilities of this group include the development of custom power supply designs showcasing PI products for customer opportunities that meet defined criteria for strategic and/or business objectives. Designs are fully evaluated and documented: key designs are converted for general-purpose usage. Examples can be seen on the PI Design Examples web page.
The Director of Applications must communicate and liaise effectively with other functional groups, especially the Sales and Marketing departments. The ability to manage priorities well and balance strategic and tactical goals makes this a very challenging and high profile position, reporting directly to the VP of Marketing.
The successful candidate should be very experienced in all aspects of AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion, and must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Education:
BSEE degree or equivalent is an absolute minimum requirement. A MS degree is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of industry related experience is required with at least five years in a management position. Experience in a semiconductor company, design or applications engineering group, or a power systems design group in an electronics company.
C.The Director of Test Engineering will develop a strategic business plan for the Test Engineering department that will meet current and future business goals of this company. Manages the planning, development, and implementation of procedures for the testing and evaluation of standard and special devices. Specifies tests to be performed, compiles data and makes recommendations for changes required in testing equipment procedures, manufacturing processes, new testing requirements and/or design of testing equipment. Recommends the purchase of test equipment. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Develop departmental and operational program budget
• Generate and implement an effective Corporate Test Roadmap
• Implement effective test procedures to support new product introduction and sustain existing product lines.
• Provide leadership and cross-functional coordination of all activities and processes associated with test engineering.
• Establish programming standards and program documentation requirements.
• Develop business plan to meet goals and objectives ? which includes industry leading test costs
• Develop and facilitate Off-shore Test transfer and provide Off-shore support
• Establish effective Test related metrics for process optimization, efficiency and continuous cost improvements ? in both domestic and off-shore operations
• Develop systems capabilities to effectively monitor and improve domestic and internal Test activities
• Mentor and coach test engineering staff
• Drive the release of new product test solutions.
• Built relationships with business units.
Requirements
