They are neck to neck. They are both super rally/track cars with super performance, and require extreme high maintenance.Some experts say Evo is more solid and powerful, STI is better at handling and cornering. However, Lancer Evolution is not available yet in Canada.
2. If you meant the basic impreza model v.s. the Mitshubishi Lancer that we have in Canada
The Impreza has all-wheel-drive,more horsepower than all the Lancer models, and good reliability.But it costs around $7000 more.
The Lancer models are on the same level as civic and corolla. The top model is called Ralliart with 162 horsepower competing against the civic Sir and the corolla XRS.
Overall, in Canada Impreza and Lancer are not on the same trim level, and the former definitely out-performs the latter.(but you've got to pay more for it..)
