Basement 装修使用三合板或DRY WALL 那个更好？

我最近要将Basement的墙封起来。到HOME DEPOT看了一下，DRY WALL 和木头的三合板几乎一样的价钱。那么，到底用那种好呢？谁有类似经验，分享一下？

If you want to use your basement as a workshop, then choose plywood. However, if the basement is going to be a living place (i.e., you need to do taping, plastering, sanding and painting), then you should use drywall, because you cannot do a nice final finish on plywood as it will look funny.

Thanks for your advice.

I will do sanding and painting with natural color on the plywood, and cover the boundry with some trims. The looking not seems to be a problem.

Because I will not need to ask somebody to help delivery (plywood is much lighter than drywall) and hire someone for professional taping, it may save money. I worry about the humidity in the basement. Drywall may be better than plywood. Any idea?

不管用什么,要注意作好保暖层,不然冷气漏进.潮气会在冷的墙面上凝结.日久会发霉.

我的BASEMENT上半截BUILDER 已经装好了保暖层。只有下半段(大约1M高)是水泥墙。是不是要将这半段水泥墙也用保暖层封起来呢？谢谢！

I worry about the humidity in the basement. Drywall may be better than plywood. Any idea?

Drywall would be better but plywood is not bad in staying in its origional shape. The other consideration is fire resistance, on which drywall has a higher rating.

还是封起来保险.容易也不贵.

BUILDER 留出下半段水泥墙可能是为了通风防潮，以免发霉。上DRYWALL时，用或不用INSULATION全部覆盖，专业FINISH BASEMENT 是如何处理的？谢谢。

目前大部分新房的BASEMENT,墙上的木架是现成的,INSUALTION只有上半部,自己弄的时候补满下边,再在上面加一层塑料薄膜,用专用胶带封死.VAPOR BARRIER 非常重要.
