The investigation continues into Ottawa's 9th and 10th murders of 2005.
Two men in their 20's were killed in a hail of gunfire inside a Chinatown Karaoke bar early Tuesday morning.
Ottawa Police Staff Sgt. Monique Ackland says many people were inside the Somerset Street bar at 2:30 am when the shots were fired.
One man died at the scene, the other in hospital.
The Ottawa Citizen identifies the men as 20-year-old Lin Tian and 20-year-old Tai Liu, both of China.
Police are trying to contact the victims families in China.
Ackland stressed investigators don't believe the shooting was a random act.
No arrests have been made.
Resident in the neighbourhood are expressing shock, and one told CFRA News that crime in the area is on the rise -- pointing to three marijuana grow ops that have been recently dismantled by police. Speaking anonymously, the man said that more police are needed in the area.
The murders are Ottawa's ninth and 10th homicides of 2005。
