It is really not productive (let alone being insensitive at this moment) putting labels to a group of people. The majority of the current generation of Chinese studnets are among the best-behaved and diligent ones. And I firmly believe that they are the future backbone of this society and back home in China. Let's not have doubt that collectively they possess the RAW intelligent and energy that overwhelms previous generations of oversea Chinese.
WE NEED THEM. It is NOT matter of choice.
Now, it is matter of challenge for themselve and people already here long before them as how to harvest this improved and aboundant RAW materials. That will be a lifelong achievement, mostly for them and also for rest of us.
The horrible event needs to be a lesson to some of them (which unfortunately no longer a small group). BUT this lesson needs not to be harsh as "doomed" or "busted". They are kids after all, like we all were at some stage of the life. They need to learn and feel "belong" and peolple with broader experince with common sense need to be a life model and help.
These horrible murders are in front of us. Dealing with it will bring out the BEST and WORST of us as Chinese people. Now let's see where each one of us want to be.
