1. E C Row Expressway in Windsor Ontario [Nov 20, 2005]

Mr. E. C. Row was the head of Chrysler Canada in the 1950', the automotive industry's glory years.
Now the small Ontario city of Windsor, Canada's Motor Capital, still lovely, but the Big 3 and the whole North American
auto industry is in deep trouble.
 
(2) Ambassador Bridge [Nov 20, 2005]

76年前经济大萧条时期修建的"大使桥", 至今仍是美加边境最重要和最繁忙的口岸通道. 1929年建成时曾是世界上最长的悬索桥;
跨越底特律河, 连接温莎和底特律, 现在每天通行超过1万辆集装箱卡车(平均每分钟7辆!), 承担着两国双边贸易(4000亿美元/年)的27%.
