WHERE in Ottawa can people watch CCTV China Spring Festival Gala-show?
Computer download? Too slow.
Someone's house with a satellite dish? Not like home.

Will anyone have DVD available soon after the show (ends at 1pm Saturday afternoon on the 29th of this month) and would like to share? Legally? With pay?

I tried PPlive first time today. It's not working very well on my computer and I deleted the software right away. Plus, the way it's operated seems a little phishy, considered the legality of watching movie such as Memories Of Geisha while the movie is still in theatre. CCTV program, it's another issue. CCTV's own websites even offer TV program online review for free, and most of 2005 Gala show was immediately available last year but the download speed and picture quality are too lousy.

Nowadays it's hard to find superfans for Gala show and the programs' novelity, fashion, and excitement faded a lot.
But, as many people do, I MISS home and MISS the warm feeling when the whole family gathered together. That Gala show helps a little.

Who's going to have DVD for the whole Gala show afterwards and would like to share?
Don't tell me Home =>TV =>CCTV-4 or 9. It sounds so idiotic. I would not ask if I had such service. Besides, if not for grandma grandpa, installing such a thing and "living" in China while in north america would not be that appealing, if we want to be adaptive.

why don't you subscribe to talentvision tv. you can call bell express vue or rogers cable. The show will be aired on Jan28. If you don't like the channel, you can cancel it the next day.

why don't you subscribe to talentvision tv. you can call bell express vue or rogers cable. The show will be aired on Jan28. If you don't like the channel, you can cancel it the next day.

It's a fine idea and I appreciated it. The problem is that, when I called Rogers moments ago, the lady told me she could give me half price for Talentvision for the 1st month but I do need a digital box to be able to view this channel. I already returned that chunky piece months ago when calculating how to limit the budget. uh, should I go get the box for two days and also get up at 7 AM Saturday(28th) or should I wait for someone's DVD and then I can simulate the familar homy circumstance and watch it Saturday night with my heehee and with wine and dumpling ready?
