[请求]Chinese input

I just bought a new computer with WindowsXP installed and I only have Office2000. Microsoft provides multiple language support for Office, namely IME. When I tried IME for Office2000, it couldn't be installed on WindowsXP. Then I tried to install IME for OfficeXP, but it required OfficeXP.
Is there any comment about this problem? My focus is being able to type in Chinese. Does somebody suggest other choice?

I believe that XP has its own IME.
Check your XP first.

I tried, but it asked for Office XP and did not accept Office2000.

Which software do you use to type in Chinese? Any suggestion?

Most possibly, u need set up input method for multilingual in ur Windows XP. BTW, which version is ur Windows XP? Home edition may be different for Windows Pro. Unfortunately, I have neither of them. In Windows 2K, u need go to:

1. Start/Settings/Control Panel
2. Choose "Language Options" within Control Panel
3. Add "Simplified Chinese" or "Traditional Chinese" into "Language settting for the system"
4. Select your preferred input method for the language accordingly.

Good luck,
