Position Description:
In Customer Applications APAC and China, we are looking for a Lead Architect to join our teams in Singapore and Beijing.
Lead Architect in Customer Applications APAC and China contributes to the overall efficiency of solution creation and use by driving cross-solution coordination and maximal usage of the company's technology and application assets.
You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of information, process and application architectures within Customer Applications APAC and China, in Asia Pacific and China (covering Hong Kong and Taiwan) respectively. Your responsibilities include
* The company corporate and Customer Applications architecture, consisting of information, process, application, technical, and security architectures
* Analysis and documentation of existing architecture of processes and information systems
- Feeding local area specific architectural needs to help build/evolve a comprehensive framework that empowers the company globally in its IT initiatives
* Developing and transferring of system architecture & design competence to other persons in the unit
* Monitoring and support of application and solution specific architects in other units
* Sharing of rare competences
* Detecting and Mediating gaps between units
* Escalating needs and requirements as deemed appropriate
Though your main responsibility will be to focus on abstraction level structures and guidelines; advocating and enforcing consistency with corporate architectural guidelines , you will also have the chance to drill down to details when necessary.
Requirements:
You should have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or the equivalent. This should be backed with at least 8 years of experience in areas such as software and process development, and a comprehensive end-to-end system knowledge (from front-end, to middleware to backend;
from applications, to servers, to networks). In addition, you have kept abreast with the latest developments in the IT arena; fully aware of industry standards and current best practices.
You are natural when it comes to requirements engineering and system analysis, fully familiar with system design and application integration. Besides this, you have a sound knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design, Unified Modeling Language (UML) and conceptual modeling. Process modeling, distributed systems and configuration management all come easily to you, too. You have excellent people skills that help you work efficiently in advocating and enforcing architectural compliance.
