To QMIR01: How update should documents be for immigration

HI QMIR01,

I read the links you suggested. Very useful. It's gives me a overall picture of the process and answer to some of my questions.

I have been reading the guides for shilled immigrations. I have one question so far: Could I use notarized documents that was done three years ago for things like school degree, transcript and birth certificate?

I believed I got two copies of notarization. I sent one copy to apply for student Visa and had one left.

Question two, Do you know whether most Chinese international students will have to return to China to gather all those document? it looks like a long list of things.
