Ask a question for quit a job.

I am a contract working for a company, I got another offer and want to quit my current job, my question is should I given my current manager one week notice or two weeks notice? somebody said one week is not good, the manager will be not happy about you, is it true?

its a contract, there should be a section regarding termination of the contract, any penalty or notice.

Depends on your pay period. If you are paid once every two weeks, then it's two weeks. If you are paid monthly, you need to give a month's notice.

But I get a payroll once every week, Is it ok to give a one week's notice?

网上可以查的. 我记得好象要看你在公司工作了多久而定, 如果是两年内, 就是ONE WEEK NOTICE就好了, 两年以上就要AT LEAST 2 WEEKS NOTICE.

不过我有可能记错了.. 你最好在网上确认一下

不过当然是给AT LEAST 两个星期好了, 那样你老板也不会一下子给你翘起来,他的心里也相对舒服点. 你也想他可以给你好的REFERENCE吧! 因为这个而影响他对你的印象, 不值得.
