If the light is yellow, it indicates sensor problems. you can drive to a dealer without problem. if the light is red, don't move it, tow it to a dealer.

Some Ford cars have the false yellow light problem after pumping gasline too full. the light is yellow and will be gone after you start and drive for a few miles for THREE TIMES. Our lab Ford car has this problem and I was scared on a business trip to Toronto.

谢谢大家的关心! 我的车子修好了! DEALER说是小问题! 我对车子不是很熟, 他们给我解释的时候我还是理解的有点糊涂. 听他们的解释, 好象是本来点火后的程序应该是什么先点着第一缸, 然后是第二缸. 但是可能是因为天气冷, ENGINE MISFIRE, 先点着了第二缸, 再点着第一缸. 现在已经调回来了! 没事了!

Don't worry. Same problem occured on my car a couple of month ago. My SUV is one year old, even newer than yours. There are a lot of different reasons that can cause MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT on. It doesn't have to be engine. 3 years old car should be still in warrant, just throw it back to dealer, they will figure it out very quick and it is free.
