Opponents of the Carp landfill expansion have a chance to have their say tonight.
Waste Management will be on hand at a meeting in Stittsville to discuss plans to triple the size of the dump.
The community meeting will be held at Ecole elementaire catholique Jean-Paul II on Abbott Street. The open house will run from 6 to 9 pm.
The senior director for Waste Management said Monday that his company would not accept garbage from Toronto or southern Ontario. Michael Walters says they still want to expand their Carp Road landfill to three times its size, but the vast majority of the space is still dedicated to Ottawa's growing needs.
