What is the humidity in your house when it is -20C outside?
I have installed a huniditifier on the furnace, but the humidity is only 20-29 % when the temperature is -15C to -20C outside. It is not good for the hardwood floor. Any information or idea?

既然你安装了加湿器，室内的湿度只要没有达到你的设定值（通常为40%)，加湿器就会运转，直至满足设定值，而与外界温度没有直接关系。

我还是没有明白你到底是觉得湿度高了，还是低了。
综合对人体还有房屋结构，４０％是比较理想的设定值。冬天如果窗户玻璃上有较多的凝结水，可以适当降低设置。
想根据外界气温不断的调节屋内湿度设定太麻烦，也无法掌握调节范围。

Yes, you are right. I really don't know what humidity I should keep in this season. That is why I would like to know the humidity in you guys' home. 40% or 20%?

40%应该是比较好的。除了人觉得舒服，如果你有红木家具或硬木地板，屋内湿度太低了也不好。。

Most of the time: 40-42%
If it is extemely cold I turn down a little bit to reduce window condensation: 35-36%.
