There is a lot of reasons that the break make noise.
It could be the break pad indicator telling the drive that the break pad is too thin, if you don't change it, you could damage your rotor and ends up you need to change your rotor too.
If the break pad quality is very cheap, cheap quality, it could cause the noise too, like after market parts.
Sometime if you put some lub. on the shim will help too.
The distance between the rotor and the pad will cause the noise!!! hummmm????
