请教斑竹和各位大虾们

请问有没有必要在造房子的时候加上security system draft-in 呢 现在builder 要收好几百元呢 如果我现在不先装draft-in得话 以后要装是不是会贵好多呢 会不会很难看墙壁上电线到处走呢

请有经验的朋友们指教一下吧 泡泡在此先谢过了 :thanks:

In my case, I only got $60 discount from ADT for installation though I paid $300+ to the builder for the rough-ins

I got more confused after reading this long article hahaa... well it says: "If your basement ceiling is not going to be finished with drywall or non removeable tiles, AND you don't want the ground floor windows on the system,AND you don't require any alarm components above the ground floor level, then save your money"

DOH~~~ I guess I assume that I want to save money hahahaaaaaaa

Could you plz tell me some details? What type of ADT security system did you get? Is it wired-in or wireless? Do you have to sign a contract with ADT for monitoring?

My previous one was with ADT too, and I had the rough in with the builder as well and I ended up paying over a thousand for the alarm with ADT.

For my builder, the rough in did not include anything for upper level so I had to buy wireless contacts for all upper floor.

The rough in does include basement windows, but if you will have access to the basement ceiling anyways, you can simply wire a motion detector instead of using windows contacts. Also, the alarm company suggests that, a robber can simply break the windows glass instead of opening the window, so a motion detector is better than the window contact.

The rough in's key pad location is also a bad choice, so it has to be rewired.

Ours is ADT SafeWatch Pro 3000. It is wired-in and I did sign a two year contract with ADT for monitoring..

But since ADT is our sister company, I pay employee price ($15 monthly)
