Off-Campus Work Permits for International Students
On Thursday April 27, 2006 an announcement enabling eligible international students to work off campus was approved. The International Student Services Office (ISSO) is pleased to host information sessions starting this week to process documents required for the Work Permit Application.
All students interested in applying for a Work Permit under this new legislation MUST attend an information session on one of the following dates:
Thursday, May 4, 2006 Mackenzie Building, Room 3328 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, May 9, 2006 University Centre, Room 180 noon - 1:00 p.m.
Thursday, May 11, 2006 University Centre, Room 180 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, May 16, 2006 University Centre, Room 180 noon - 1:00 p.m.
Students in Ontario may apply for Work Permits as of June 1, 2006 but preparations can begin well before this. Realistically, students may seek and gain employment starting July/August.
