Got a read light camera offence ticket for $180. It said my car passed the line in 0.2 second after the light turned red.

Just wonder any way/chance to avoid the payment. Or I should just pay it.

How long ago was it? Did you receive two clear pictures with the notice?

The first one is to enter the intersection and the second one is in the middle of the intersection.

At the first one, it seems the car alreay entered the line as 0.2 second is a very short period.

Actaully, I want to plea of "not guilty" at the court but I am not sure how it affects my insurance if I lose.

Who receives the ticket for running a red light? What is the fine?

No matter who was driving the vehicle at the time of the photograph, the registered owner of the photographed vehicle receives the ticket. The owner's insurance company will not be notified of the violation.

The fine is $155 plus a $35 victim surcharge. If the fine goes unpaid, the license plate cannot be renewed. The owner's driver license is not suspended for any unpaid fine, and no jail term can be imposed for the offence or for fine default.
