Application forms for Universal Child Care Benefit ($1200 annually per child)

As you know, the government has initiated the Universal Child Care Benefit (UCCB) in the 2006 budget. This benefit provide families with $100 per month, per child 6 years of age or younger. The benefit will be paid to each family on the 20th of every month starting this July.

You can download the appropriate form and find out more information on the UCCB with the following link. Those who are receiving the Canadian Child Tax Benefit (CCTB) will automatically qualify assuming the child is 6 or under.

If you're already receiving CCTB, then you'll qualify automatically, so check your bank after the 20th of July...

If you do not receive CCTB, apply for it.

Even if you do not receive CCTB because your income is too high, but had previously applied for it, you are still automatically regstered.

记得新闻里提过这$1200是算收入,要纳税的,但应比正常收入的税低些.
