不满平反赔偿方案 人头税后裔国庆大游行

【多伦多信息港】对保守党人头税平反方案表达强烈不满，卑诗人头税家属联盟及华裔加人平权共进会，决定於7月1日国庆日，分别在温哥华、爱民顿及满地可三个城市发动大游行，争取「一（人头税）纸一（笔）退款」，亦即希望苦主的后裔也可获当局赔偿。

200多个人头税后人，昨晚出席在温哥华华埠中侨互助会举行的社区会议，就平反人头税未解决的一些问题发表意见。卑税诗人头税家属联盟及华裔加人平权共进会宣布在7月1日（国庆日）游行，以伸公义，争取「一纸一退款」。 早上11时在中山公园的中华文化中心广场集合游行。

另据报道，满地可华人平反人头税联盟将於明日正午，在满地可华埠旁边的联邦政府大楼集会。联盟共同主席刘海宽表示，魁人党领袖杜锡将在集会上率?，要求总理哈珀就人头税苛例，对人头税苦主的后代子女作出赔偿。他说，当地侨界要求渥太华就每一张人头税纸，向后代赔偿2万元。

与此同时，在加西沙斯卡寸旺、阿尔伯达的多个人头税索偿组织现正「密锣紧鼓」，安排在周五及周六国庆节，分别在满地可与其他多个城市内，举行?第一代子女后人争取合理公平赔偿的「全国抗议周末」。

The fact is, the head tax money can buy 5 average house at that time. so, it means while the Japanese kid next door was full and nicely clothed and happily went to school, you probably can only hear the sounds of your own stomach.

Well, if you were the kid, will you demanded compensation? In a way, you are the victim of the head tax too

So, it is only just you get compensate too

Actually two homes in Montreal, or a 1/4 section of land in many provinces.

But, Monstreal was by far the biggest city in Canada at that time, far surpass Toronto, so it's possilbe to buy 5 in small towns.
