The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and the Ottawa Hospital invite applications for a fulltime virologist position. The candidate will be a PhD with expertise in clinical virology.
The Regional Virology Unit is the single Virology service for the entire East 1 region of Ontario, serving a population of 1.2 million. The candidate will provide laboratory support and will interact with infectious disease specialists of various regional institutions. The unit is equipped with the most modern instruments for molecular testing.
The candidate will develop or pursue independent research and will also collaborate on ongoing projects and teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario is affiliated to the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
