Tons of activities to do this coming weekend. Wish I had three heads and six arms. Here is a brief list.
1. Sat & Sun. Alcatel Hope Beach volleyball tournament at Mooney's bay. We have couple players from this forum will be there. It always amazes me how they manage to keep their bikinis on while diving to save the ball.
Ticket and beer.
2. Sat. Governor General's CHEO teddybear picnic. Lots of rides, music and dance, inflated structure, food and crowds. In GG's residence on Sussex, free admission, tricky parking.

3. Fri--Sun. Ontario family fishing weekend. Licence free, various locations.
4. FIFA world cup finals, Sat & Sun afternoon.
5. Sound and light show on the Parliment, started on July 5 and runs till Sept 10. Something to do downtown Ottawa in the evenings. Starts either at 9 or 9:30pm. Get ice cream cones from MacDonald or ice capp from Timmy's first.

6. Fri--Monday,Wonder of Sand, Sand sculpture making and dispalying in Gatineau. Structures, entertainment, $5 for adults, and free for kids under 13.

7. Calling all outdoor movie fans. Every Friday & Saturday evening enjoy an outdoor movie in the centre of Ottawa. Free (pay what you can). When was the last time you watched a movie outdoor?
8. Last not least, Bluefest begins Friday night. Time to stroll down to the city hall.
