Off topic: Core 2 PC, anyone ?

Other than myself and A sou, anyone else is planning to build a new PC around Core 2 dual core CPU ? Just curious what's your setup looks like.

Understand that the setup with Core 2 will be expensive (CPU, RAM and motherboard). Those AMD x2 are dropping fast and looks so attactive if cost is a main concern:

I heard some hacker or just some guy modified mac mini to dual core 2,and it beats the PowerMac Dual processer

just google it,lots of ppl r talking about this,dont know if mac gonna change it at the same time
heared the entire mac line gonna switch to dual core 2,just dont know when

I think for u guys as a photographer should go for Macs,core duo is not bad either

Yes, Core 2 is an expensive option since both motherboard and RAM are quite expensive.

Leo: yes we burn everything in sight.

@虾米@: I heard about Mac's move to Intel core 2. For pure graphic application, maybe Mac is a better choice as you suggested. But this is also a generic PC for other applications so I will stick with Windows PC.
