About Breast Pump

I want buy a breast pump. There are 2 kinds in the market: manual & electronic.

Of course electronic ones are much more expensive than manual ones.

My friend told me that manual ones are total uesless to her. That's too hard to use and no any breast milk pump out.

Have no idea now. Can anybody has experience give me some advice? Which one is better? Is manual one useful? Which brand is better?

It's true!! Get an electric one, Fisher Price from Zellers only costs $59 + tax, not expensive at all.

I only used the Medela harmony hand pump and it worked well for me. My sister said only the eletric one worked for her. However, in my opinion, if the hand pumps really don't work, they won't be still in the market for so many years.

The nurse lent me the hospital grade electric one in the hospital but it looked scary to me and I didn't even try it at all.

If you want to get the electric one, get a new one that can pump both sides coz one side will stimulate the other side to produce more milk.

我先买了一个手动的，FIRST YEAR。对涨奶很有好处，但PUMP起来很累。然后我们就
又买了一个MEDELA电动的，方便很多。但用的不是很多，因为我是母乳直接喂养。
所以看妈妈了。如果买PUMP只是为了起奶，手动的就够了。但想PUMP到瓶里给宝宝
喝，还是电动的好，要省事很多。对了，手动的MEDELA我也有：)，觉得比FIRST YEAR好
用。
