300 and 4 points, its not that fast.
before you go to trial, you need to know does the police gives you mercy/reduction and also needed to know how much speed you exceed over the posted limit.
If police gives you reduction already, there is be an 'R' written on the ticket. Then it means your actual speed is higher than the police charge you. If you go to court, the judge might charge you the actual speed of the ticket ( which might be higher than 300/4 )
If you speed is only 1-2 over the posted limited AND police does not give you reduction, usually, the 1st time is a good idea to go to trial.
There are service to trial you, 1) Xcoppers 2) Pointts

Thank you very much for all your information and help!
Here are more info about my ticket:
I drove 138km/h on 401 in Kingston area. The fine is $228 plus $50 surcharge. The reduction code is empty, which means the speed he wrote was the actual speed I drove, right?
So I should go to court? What should I say to the judge? Ask for mercy? or create excuses? What excuses can I use?
I appreciate any input!
Thanks again!
