winter tires from Costco

Anyone bought their winter tires or have them changed at Costco? I have heard that the lineup is horrible, you need to drop the car in early for few hours, is it true?

I understand that Costco tires come with all the fees and labour charges, but if the wait is ridiculously long, it's not convenient for us daytime office workers... any comment? Thanks..

but they do have cheaper tires, and they do farely good jobs

Why don't you get a set rims, and mount the tires onto your rims. It'll save you a lot time later on.

You mean that so later on you can change the tires yourself if garages are getting too busy?

I do intend to purchase the tires with the rims, but I'd still prefer the garage to swap the tires for me even though it's not a big job..

yeah. Once tires mounted on rims. You can even change it yourself within 10 mins.

Yes, as long as you purchase a full set, winter or all season tires, they'll swap them for free. That's an equivalent saving of $50 per set!
