若想在KANATA买房,哪个区比较好? 请指教. 现在是买房的好时机吗?

找个华人中介问问就行了，他们都是内行。这里推荐陈进（613-290-1674），个人感觉他的态度非常好，而且比较细心。

1. Kanata Lake, Close to everything (Kanata Centrum, Hightech companies, High Way 417, Golf course).
2. Heritage Hill,Same as above but the Golf course. New neighborhood. A little bit crowded.

- Kanata Lakes: close to shopping, lots of green spaces (park, golf, trails), newer house, but no elementary schools nearby. Most chinese live in this are

- Katimavik: established area, good facility (community centre), older houses but bigger lot. One of the best elementary schools in town

- Beaverbrook: established area with mature trees and green spaces; mostly bungalows, more suitable for retirees. Many schools are located in this area

- Morgan's Grant: Newer and cheaper houses, close to hi-tech sectors, farther from shopping and facilities; has one of the best french elementary schools in town

1- you can find out the ratio from this property tax estimate calculator provided by the city, it gives you an idea of how much taxes you expect to pay for a house of certain value: http://ottawa.ca/city_services/proptaxes/EstimatorDollars_en.html

2- You can register at http://www.mpac.ca, it gives you 12 reports free on property info. of your choices. This is quite useful, I had suspected I was paying too much for property taxes until I found out my neighbors'..

Thanks, Marklin. It seems you can only get your property information from http://www.mpac.ca. Before I buy a house, how can I get this kind of information? On Calgary city website, you can get lot map, assessment value and property tax as long as you know the address. Can I get these information without asking the owner?

you can find a buyer agent to help you get those information. or you can check www.mls.ca by yourself. For example Kanata:

另外，问一下三卧的townhouse新房大约是多少钱？

这个地区房子比较新,价格不是太高,地点很方便,上高速,对面是图书馆,和Ottawa地区前三名的高中.

缺点是,
比较多Townhouse,Single的地不是太大,密度比较高,
另外就是,有点近高速,晚上可以听到连续不断的车行使的声音.
另外它所属的小学不是太好.


Kanata Lake是最好的地段,但也是最贵的.
